Every campervan offer comes with a basic insurance policy with a deductible, which protects you in many cases of damage. Here we will explain to you which insurance options are available and which are particularly useful. Different insurance policies protect you in the event of damage and prevent unexpected, high additional costs. A standard package of insurance is already included in every campervan offer at CamperDays, but it often makes sense to book additional insurance where possible.

Which insurances are always included?

Every campervan offer comes with standard insurance. These vary from rental company to rental company, but always include a fully comprehensive insurance with deductible.

However, the types of damage covered by this insurance may vary depending on the rental company or country of travel. It is therefore worthwhile to have a look at the rental conditions for the standard package as well. Often, this package already covers additional damage such as theft or vandalism.

What insurance is included in the Premium Package?

Most rental companies offer their own premium package with several additional services. The Premium Package includes various additional services, for example, some rental companies include an insurance upgrade with the Premium Package, which significantly reduces the amount of the excess in the event of a claim, as well as the amount of the deposit to be paid on site. Furthermore, the Premium Package often includes deductions on one-way fees and various local costs. In order to see all the services included in the Premium Package compared to the Standard Package, simply click on “Premium Package” in your desired offer.

So you’ re safe on the road!

Almost all rental companies offer free rebooking, subject to availability. Maybe your travel plans have changed, but you still want to go on a campervan holiday? Then contact our customer service by phone or e-mail. Our colleagues will then work with you to find the best rebooking option.

You’ll probably get some rain along the way. That’s just Scotland being Scotland. You can wake beside a loch, drive for an hour, and end up near a castle. Many of the people who book with us begin in Edinburgh, where we have a number of trusted rental partners on the city's outskirts. Others collect their camper in England and make the journey north for a highlands Scotland road trip, which may involve a small border registration fee. Wherever you end up starting, you won’t be far away from some amazing scenery.
