Known as the frying pan of Spain, Seville sizzles in hot temperatures and is scorching hot in the summer months, so March to June is the best time to visit. Best Campervan routes from Seville

Seville to Cordoba
This journey is around 140 kilometres and will take around an hour and a half in regular traffic. The quickest route is the A-4, or there is a longer drive on the A-431, but both roads offer similar views. Your first stop is for a walk in the Parque Natural Sierra de Hornachuelos, one of Andalucia's wildest and most stunning natural parks. As you continue your journey, a 'must-see' is the Moorish city of Medina Azahara, Spain's most significant archaeological site. Finally, you'll reach Cordoba, which has an ancient Moorish palace and one of the largest old towns in Europe.

Seville to Cordoba to the White Towns
The White Towns or Villages in this area are not well connected to public transport, so this is where your campervan will triumph. One of Spain's most beautiful driving routes is the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos, or the Route of the White Villages. Pretty white villages cling to hills and mountain sides, each one with its own unique character. The journey is 128 kilometres and takes just under two hours on the A-375 and A374 and you'll end up in Ronda, known as the 'City of Dreams' with its romantic mountaintop setting.

Seville to the Alhambra

A more extended trip of 267 kilometres on the A-92, this magnificent palace enjoys a dramatic hilltop location and is one of the Islamic world's most famous historic monuments. Cadiz
