We cannot recommend Cruise America in this form. The rented camper was in an unacceptable condition. The following defects on collection: Interior very dirty. Dust and dirt in every shelf, on the doors in the corners. Mould in the fridge, storage compartment flap on the right damaged, locking mechanism defective. Damage to the exterior on every side. The employee gave you the feeling that he didn't care about the above-mentioned defects. Subsequent cleaning was also only half-hearted. Only the fridge was wiped down again. We then cleaned the inside ourselves. The journey was therefore delayed by 3 hours! During the journey we noticed further defects. First journey at approx. 45 mph the roof hatch locking mechanism came loose. Emergency repairs were carried out by ourselves on the hard shoulder. After the first purchase, we secured it with cable ties. Water connection on camper leaking. Driver's side door seal coming loose. Mattress in the rear bed area sagging. Back pain was the result. First rain -> windscreen wiper blades defective, water ingress in the interior. Reversing sensors not working. Privacy moulding in the interior falling down. Electric igniter from gas cooker defective. Exterior light not working. This is just a large excerpt of the existing defects. Finally, the water supply unit was still leaking, so that when the water pump was running or the city water supply was connected, the water ran into the interior. It was therefore no longer possible to use the toilet, shower or washbasin. All in all, the camper was rubbish and not worth renting for the money! Due to the defects, we are also seeking compensation. We have never experienced anything like it.
