Traffic Rules for the USA

• Take note that the speed laws are different in every county, which can make it tricky if you are constantly driving over state lines.

• They drive on the right and overtake on the left.

• You can turn right on a red light at most junctions unless it says you can’t (something that takes some getting used to).

• Seatbelts must be worn at all times.

• Some states have HOV (high occupancy lanes), which are marked by a white diamond shape on the road. This means if you have more than two people in your vehicle, you can use these lanes only at certain hours.
