Clear information at the time of booking. A mistake I made was quickly rectified at no extra cost. Attentive support right through to the return journey, for example regarding the handover. When I emailed a query from Namibia, I even received a quick reply on a Saturday!! The above applies to Camperdays. The Toyota Hilux was getting on a bit. This was evident, for example, from wear and tear on the steps, the awnings and, above all, the burners. These turned out to be blocked; after a few days, we got a tip from others to clean them with water. That helped with one of them; we bought a second one ourselves. Fortunately, the engine ran perfectly and the tyres were in top condition. So we didn’t have any worries about that during our four weeks there. The staff at Asco were very friendly!

Everything ran smoothly on site, and the staff were knowledgeable. The campervan was very expensive, though this is the going rate for all hire vehicles in Namibia. So it’s not an isolated case. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Excellent induction; they went out of their way to help and responded quickly to any queries via email. Unfortunately, the car and its equipment had a few faults.

Vehicle: Hilux Double Cab in decent condition. Service: Outstanding! A problem (material failure) with the bull bar was sorted out in a flash via WhatsApp and resolved at the nearest garage. Equipment: The equipment works, though the mattress could be thicker and the gas hob more powerful. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a genuine budget vehicle and value good support, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!

No response to various enquiries – presumably (also) due to the Christmas and New Year period. No pick-up from the airport despite prior notification. Was able to travel with another driver who was picking up another renter. Overall, still acceptable because everything could be sorted out. Car and camping equipment acceptable, budget – i.e. met expectations.

Vehicle poorly maintained: Battery and alternator had to be replaced, electrical contacts were "contaminated". Cabin broke off while driving. New vehicle received: Engine damage Overnight reservations could not be honoured due to constant visits to the workshop. No confidence in the vehicle, constant tension and worry about whether everything was working. Major detriment to the quality of the holiday.

Everything went smoothly, great service (shuttle service to and from the airport), and even when we had a complaint, it was dealt with quickly and without any hassle (our roof tent was faulty and was repaired straight away at a local meeting point!) The vehicle was perfectly equipped with everything needed for proper outdoor living. It never let us down, even in the toughest conditions! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We’d be happy to book through Avis again at any time!

The service, the customer contact and the car’s comfort were all first-rate. I would question whether such a modern car, where everything is electronic, is really suitable for driving on gravel roads. One of our sensors was damaged, probably by a small stone, and all the error messages kept popping up for the rest of the trip – even after a visit to the garage.

Hello, the airport pick-up was quick. Michael is very friendly and professional. He spent at least three hours explaining everything to us. When we had a puncture, the manager responded within half an hour and arranged for a partner garage to come out. Returning the vehicle in Botswana went very smoothly (the manager was very friendly and dropped us off at Kasane airport). Thank you, Camperdays.

Vehicle in perfect conditions!It drove us perfectly 4500 km in all conditions roads!!! The tent on top really comfortable, easy to install and de-install. All the equipment worked perfectly and is all what you need. The pick up process, explanation of everything and return process really good, the team was really nice and kind. Absolutely recommended!!!!!

The car has one major disadvantage: there is absolutely no space in the driver's cabin for things you need while travelling in southern Africa (e.g. cameras, binoculars, etc.). The roof tent offers enough space for two to sleep and can be set up very quickly and easily. The company AVIS Safari, from whom we had this car, is very reliable and great in the accompanying service.
