The vehicle was old. Very worn out. Very basic equipment. Not even a hand brush for cleaning. That should be included. Drawers, refrigerator, etc. dirty and broken.

C25. Seattle. Overall not luxurious but what you need is available and works adequately. With other rentals we have had the experience that calls to the help service were necessary because many things did not work. That was not the case here. As others have pointed out, you don't get a cover for the mattress, so we brought our own. The tap was not completely tight and there were some signs of wear. The outside door makes quite a noise when travelling fast if you don't operate both latches. After 5000 kilometres we were very satisfied overall. For two people, this size is a good compromise between the smaller and larger version. It is also quite easy to find parking spaces.

The first vehicle made ear-piercing, howling noises and when we started off we had the impression that the drive was broken. After lengthy discussions, we got a good vehicle. Everything worked very well and it was easy to drive for 30 feet. We drove it from Seattle via Fairbanks to Anchorage.

Extremely disappointed experience. The car was not cleaned, mould in all windows. We spent a day cleaning and therefore left later. The hose for city water was defective, so this could not be used on the RV pitches. In addition, the hose for the dump toilet water was also leaking and could not be fixed. The staff who greeted us when we dropped off the car seemed like they didn't want to be there. But we can guarantee that the next team that rents the car will get a clean car. We spent 2 hours on this before we dropped it off. We are extremely dissatisfied with this process and demand compensation.

The vehicle was not properly cleaned when it was handed over. For example, the extractor bonnet filters were very dirty. All the windows were dirty and much more. The camping table in the boot was so dirty and scratched that it was unusable. The kitchen pack was incomplete, cups had to be ordered in Seattle. The clothes rail in the wardrobe was worn out, so that the rail and the jackets kept falling down. The front flap of the sewing tube was missing, so stowing it away was an adventure every time. Shortly after handover, it turned out that the fly screen door was defective, but it could not be repaired or replaced in Seattle due to a lack of spare parts. In general, the vehicle was already showing clear signs of wear and tear. Its 100,000 kilometres were also noticeable in the chassis and driving behaviour.

With Cruise America it's a 50/50 chance how good the vehicle is. This time we had a relatively new C21 with few problems. Last time we had a total loss while driving, but this time it seemed to me in the yard that Cruise America had modernised the fleet quite well. The staff are very friendly, and no unrealistic expectations are placed on the return. The price-performance ratio is very good, but you should not have excessive expectations. The vehicle was superficially cleaned when you picked it up, but you shouldn't look too closely. Here you have to go to roadbear/El Monte,... The campers are then much better, but usually also much more expensive. All in all, Cruise America did a good job with this rental, and considering the relatively low price, the service was good. Expectations were met, but not exceeded.

Contrary to the booking details, the vehicle was three years old and in a worn condition with clear signs of use. The film on the cupboards had partially come loose, decorative strips were loose and some switches were also no longer attached. The seat covers in the cockpit were very stained. On the positive side, the vehicle had two slide-outs and no technical defects. Everything worked perfectly.

The motorhome was in great condition and still fairly new (20,000 miles). The handover took place in German and was very precise. All questions were answered patiently. Delivery was quick and without any problems. We were very satisfied!

The motorhome drove well with no problems but the start at pick-up at El Monte RV Seattle was particularly bad. Despite our 1pm time agreed by phone, we had to wait for 2.5 hours before we got our motorhome. By then, the motorhome turned out to be unfurnished, no bedding, towels, kitchen utensils. All sorts of things were quickly put together by the (friendly) staff. Not everything was there and we were asked to buy our own sheets. We were given only 1 thin fleece blanket instead of a duvet/cover, not adequate for cold nights in the mountains. Not only did we have to buy the sheets ourselves, there turned out to be only 1 frying pan the size of your hand, obviously you can't fry anything in that with four people. There also turned out to be no hand, kitchen and dish towels, no scissors, no washing-up brush or sponge, no bowl that could hold lettuce or the like etc. While we had ordered the full kitchen package ed. We had to ask for the navigation, they had forgotten that too. In short: we lost a lot of time on our first day shopping and waiting, which meant we couldn't do the planned sightseeing stops but had to drive to our destination in the dark and didn't arrive until midnight (instead of 5pm). Furthermore, the motorhome still appeared to be dirty. Drip marks on the walls, dirty benches, table with stains, shower cubicle was filthy and there was still egg yolk in a bowl. So on day 1, we bought a strong detergent and had to clean the entire motorhome, including the walls. Also, many things of the interior were damaged or broken. The curtain could not hang (nails were out), the sofa was leaking so we actually sat on the wooden boards, skirting boards off, drawer could not close, 1 gas burner did not work and there was a mini faucet coming out of the tap in the kitchen area. Finally: we got a bigger motorhome than we had ordered. That's nice, of course, but the beds turned out to be shorter/smaller than the dimensions of the camper we had ordered so we didn't all fit in the beds in terms of height. Fortunately, we did get reimbursed for the costs we had to incur, with no hassle.
